The film tells the story of a young blind woman. Elif, who lives with her father, is left completely alone after losing him. However, the entire town, led by the former gangster Arap Hasan, supports Elif. Meanwhile, a young man named Kadir takes an interest in Elif. La Güera is the director of the "El Amanecer" rehabilitation center, where she is responsible for providing support to young people with drug addiction problems, following the "Twelve Steps" model. One day, La Güera's cousin asks her for help in admitting her young son Samuel to the center; La Güera goes to invite him to join the rehabilitation center. Samuel refuses and is taken there by force, which complicates his adjustment to the place. La Güera tries to encourage him and give him attention so that he can get used to his new surroundings. Everything seems to be going well when an armed group bursts in and takes several inmates, including Samuel.
